Casual Dining returns to offer inspiration for food and drink

Casual Dining show is back at the Business Design Centre in London on February 21 and 22

The bosses of some of Britain’s leading bar operators will be among speakers at this year’s Casual Dining show alongside over 200 exhibitors showcasing new products, equipment and services. It is returning to the Business Design Centre in London on February 21 and 22 to provide bars, pubs and restaurants with ideas and insights for making the most of the booming casual dining sector.

The Keynote Theatre programme will feature Chris Hill, CEO of The New World Trading Co, which continues to expand with bars and restaurants such as The Botanist, and Nick Collins, CEO of the Loungers group, operator of Lounge bars and Cosy Club.

The line-up also includes Jon Knight, CEO of Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group, Zoe Bowley, managing director of PizzaExpress, James Spragg, chief operating officer of Casual Dining Group, Paul Merrett, owner of Jolly Fine Pub Group, Mark Smith, managing director of Pho, Luisa Fernandez, marketing director of Yo!, Brian Trollip, operations director of Dishoom, and Susan Chappell, divisional director at Mitchells & Butlers. Insights will be provided by Graeme Loudon of CGA Strategy, covering the impact of rising food price inflation, and Jamie Campbell from CGA on looking beyond demographics to understand your consumer. Foodservice expert Peter Backman will discuss the challenges facing the casual dining sector.

New products at the show include Pipers Crisps’ Jalapeno & Dill, driven by the trend towards heat and more globally influenced flavours. AAK Foodservice will launch Lion’s full range of World Flavours sauces, dressings and mayonnaises into foodservice, inspired by American, Mexican, Middle Eastern and Pan-Asian foods. Other leading foodservice suppliers exhibiting range from Lamb Weston and McCain Foodservice to Moy Park and Nestlé Professional.

Global Brands will present its Franklin & Sons range of premium soft drinks, tonics and other mixers as well as its Crooked Beverage Co range of craft natural alcoholic sodas. Soft drinks will also be showcased by Britvic, Cawston Press, Double Dutch, Fentimans, Fever-Tree, Frobishers Juices, Lucozade Ribena Suntory, Monin, Radnor Hills, Schweppes and Vimto Out of Home as well as The Nitro Cold Brew Coffee Co.

There will also be plenty of alcohol, with exhibitors such as Amathus, Budweiser Budvar, Carlsberg UK, Cranes Drinks, Duvel Moortgat UK, Freedom Brewery, Whittaker’s Gin, Kalosa Natural Spritz, Mangrove, Marussia Beverages UK, Masons Yorkshire Gin, Maverick Drinks, Molson Coors, Pinkster Gin, Pococello, Spirit of Zing, Tails Cocktails, Thistly Cross Cider and 10 Degrees C, distributor of premium spirits such as Copperhead Gin.

Ideas for epos will be available from specialists such as Bleep UK, GS Systems and Tevalis while the latest catering equipment will be showcased by the likes of Rational UK and Nelson.
