East Coast Concepts begins roll-out of Victors

Bar and restaurant operator East Coast Concepts has announced its first site in the south of England for expansion of its concept Victors.

After the success of Victors in Hale in Cheshire, the company is investing over £1.8million in the new premises in the Westgate leisure and shopping centre in Oxford.

Due to open in April, it will have a wisteria-clad interior with 120 covers, an extensive bar and an outside terrace with views over Oxford’s spires. By night, guests can enjoy live music and DJ sets.

Victors (pictured), which opened in Hale in 2014, is the sister brand to Neighbourhood, the cocktail bar concept that has expanded from its first site in Manchester to two more in Liverpool and Leeds.

Victors offers a menu of modern American small plates, with dishes designed for sharing to create a social and relaxed environment. Menu highlights include black cod, lobster tacos, sushi and raw bar platters, and lamb cutlets presented on a konro grill.

The menu is complemented by an extensive drinks offering including a wine list sourced by the company’s in-house experts and cocktails described as innovative and designed to provoke the senses.

The current cocktail list includes twisted classics such as a Modern Old Fashioned with Maker’s Mark and Wild Turkey 101 whiskeys, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and orange zest, as well as recipes such as the Game Changer with Ketel One vodka, apple schnapps, Wild Turkey Honey, apple, lemon, basil and pepper.
