A rooftop pop-up for Gin Mare is to serve up cocktails championing the flavours and ingredients of the four Mediterranean countries where its botanicals are grown.
The drinks, available on July 20 and 21 at the Med Rooftop at IET London Savoy Place, will feature thyme from Turkey, basil from Italy, rosemary from Greece and arbequina olives from Spain.
They will include a classic Mare G&T with a slice of fresh mango and a Perfect Martini with a strawberry garnish. The cooling Frozemary cocktail combines three popular trends of frappé, Aperol, and rosé wine all in the same glass, while the revitalising Basil Smash. See below for recipes.
Chefs will serve a summer menu of fresh Mediterranean tapas and oysters dressed with Gin Mare to complement the cocktails. The rooftop will be decked out in Mediterranean chic, with pagodas and white-washed furniture.
The London pop-up follows Gin Mare’s Med Rooftops in Madrid, Lisbon, Barcelona, Munich and Rome. It runs from 6.30pm to late. To request a place, visit www.medrooftops.com.
