More lighter bites as part of new Slug and Lettuce menus

New food and drink menus have been rolled out across Slug and Lettuce bars around the UK, responding to the latest trends in casual dining.

With ever-increasing demand for dishes that can be shared or offer a lighter bite, there is an expanded selection of small plates with the addition of crispy fried jalapeno slices served with paprika sour cream and cured meat antipasti (pictured).

They are designed so that customers will be able to share them round at the cost of £18 for five dishes, with the new evening menu available from 4pm onwards.

A new Sweet & Petite segment offers a selection of desserts including cookie crumb profiteroles drizzled in chocolate-flavoured sauce and zesty lemon and lime tart wedges (pictured below). They are available at £5 for two.

The drinks menu has also been updated, including the exclusive launch of a new “Skinny Prosecco”, the Gancia Leggero Prosecco, which has 75% less sugar.

Also new is the Absolut Lime, the latest addition to the core range of vodka flavours, providing a refreshing citrus taste.

New cocktails include the Baileys Iced Latte (pictured below) while, for those unable to choose what to order, the bars now offer Tapas Tails – a flight of three cocktails.

Throughout the week, bars will also be offering value deals for its customers. Slug and Lettuce’s popular “Happy Mondays” promotion of 50% off food all day continues and, due to popular demand, the “Wine Down Wednesday” offer is set to carry on with selected bottles of wine or Gancia Dry Prosecco priced at £12.

Lunches from £5 will be available Monday to Friday and a burger and drink deal for £7 on Mondays and Tuesdays. The “Wine and Dine” deal from Monday to Friday will provide customers with a bottle of house wine and three small plates for £20.
