The New World Trading Company has announced its latest site for The Botanist bar and restaurant, bringing its mix of cocktails and food to Coventry.
The group is one of several food and drink operators lined up for new units at the Cathedral Lanes shopping centre in the Midlands city. It plans to open The Botanist there in February 2019.
With over 320 covers throughout the bar and restaurant, the new venue will feature interiors with delicate floral touches – and a stream running around the bar.
Now in 15 sites after opening in West Bridgford in Nottingham in October (pictured), The Botanist offers “botanical” cocktails, inspired by the floral surroundings, as well as more than 60 beers from around the world and a menu of deli, rotisserie and grill-inspired food. It also hosts live music.
The new site will be part of the new-look shopping centre in the central square of Coventry Water Tower. It will create new jobs in Coventry from management to front-of-house and kitchen staff. Further information on recruitment will be announced in 2018.
Chris Hill, CEO of The New World Trading Company, said: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the people of Coventry, especially as we know the community here has such a passion for food and drink.
“The combination of award-winning cocktails along with our extensive menu has something for everyone – and we’re positive The Botanist will bring a unique vibe to the city.”
