Parmi and Freakshakes lead new food menu at Walkabout

A new food menu has been introduced by Stonegate Pub Company at its Walkabout bars, promising a taste of on-trend Australian cuisine.

New on the menu are Parmi, offering an Aussie twist to an Italian classic of a breaded chicken parmigiana, with a range of toppings such as stilton and onion chutney, avocado and mushroom or spicy tomato salsa, ham and melted cheese.

The burger selection ranges from the popular Roo Burger to a giant Mega Wafflewich – two large waffles sandwiching a beef burger, pulled pork and a Hunter’s parmi (pictured).

There is a host of new sharing snacks to choose from such as the tin can mac ‘n’ cheese, sweetcorn fritters with maple bacon and double chicken wings.

The dessert selection includes the luxurious Freakshakes: vanilla-flavour ice cream and chocolate fudge milkshake poured into a glass, smothered in Nutella hazelnut spread and Smarties, topped with a wedge of chocolate fudge cake, a double-chocolate cookie, candy-floss, squirty cream, mini marshmallows, chocolate-flavoured sauce and icing sugar.

The new drinks menu includes the Cherry Pop, mixing apple and cherry Sourz with grenadine, apple juice and passion fruit purée, topped off with a cherry.

The Tasmanian Devil packs a little punch with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire, grenadine, cranberry juice and apple juice, topped with a chilli.
