The Rat Pack inspires cocktail menu at London hotel bar

A special list of cocktails inspired by legendary crooners Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and Dean Martin is to be added at a bar in London’s West End.

Brumus Restaurant & Bar at Haymarket Hotel has been inspired by the return of tribute show, The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas, at the nearby Theatre Royal Haymarket.

From January 9 to February 3, it is offering Rat Pack cocktails in association with Diageo Reserve, using its “World Class” portfolio of spirits.

Named after some of Sinatra’s biggest hits, Fly Me to the Moon (pictured below) is made with Bulleit Rye whiskey, coffee liqueur, maple and espresso ice cream, while That’s Life combines Tanqueray No Ten gin and Noilly Pratt vermouth. A twist on a Vodka Martini, made with Ketel One vodka and Dolin Dry vermouth, is called The Lady is a Tramp after another popular recording.

That’s Amore (pictured top) takes its name from one of Dean Martin’s most famous numbers, combining Zacapa 23 rum, Mozart Dark liqueur, Grand Marnier, champagne and cherry syrup.

As well as the cocktails, Brumus Restaurant is offering a special three-course pre-theatre dinner package with a live performance by one of London’s most sought-after jazz and swing acts, The Leon Garner Trio, playing tunes from the Great American Songbook.

Diners can then move to the theatre to experience Frank, Sammy and Dean performing at Las Vegas’s famous Sands Hotel with the Burrelli Sisters and The Rat Pack Big Band plus special guest Ella Fitzerald. The show runs from January 9 to February 3.
