Cocktail bars and restaurant operator, Revolution scooped the best City Bar Dining award at this year’s annual Menu Innovation and Development Awards (MIDAS).
A team of mystery diners and judges were tasked with deciding the winners in each of the 28 categories, including the City Bar Dining category, which Revolution won.
Known for its experimental cocktails, coupled with a menu of contemporary British and Stateside classics including pizzas, burgers and wraps, the Revolution portfolio now boasts 67 sites including new addition Southend-on-Sea, which is set to open next month.
Mark Rush, head of food innovation at Revolution Bar Group, said it was a great honour to be recognized for this award which shows the menus are well received. “Our team is always looking at new trends and constantly evolving the menu, ensuring it stays current and attractive to our target market,” Mark said.
The MIDAS Awards were founded in 2009 by Inside Food Service to recognise the outstanding creative talents of menu development managers and group executive chefs within the multi-unit and chain restaurant sectors of foodservice industry.
Mark Rush will join the other category winners alongside the Menu Innovation Network on a five-day culinary insight tour of Chicago this May, where they will be visiting the National Restaurant Association show, discovering the latest US food trends and going behind the scenes at Chicago’s leading restaurants and fast casual chains.
