Striking new burger buns from Aryzta target ‘Instagram factor’

Aryzta Food Solutions has launched two new burger buns in striking red and black to help operators premiumise their burger offering and create the “Instagram factor”.

Supplied under the company’s Hiestand brand of premium bakery, the new black and red burger buns are coloured using completely natural vegetable charcoal for a black bun and beetroot powder for a red bun, and then sprinkled with sesame seeds.

According to insight house MCA, burgers are currently the UK’s most popular dish on menus, but with so much competition, Aryzta wanted to help bar and pub operators to offer greater stand-out.

The foodservice specialist is also responding to the rise of Instagram and other social platforms where shareable, show-stopping dishes become a useful marketing tool for an outlet.

Paul Whitely, Aryzta Food Solutions’ brand and communications manager for the UK, has no doubt that the new buns will create “intrigue”. He said: “When it comes to innovation in eating out, it’s millennials who are driving demand. They’re the champions of new flavours and beautifully presented food – the latter of which they can share on social platforms such as the massively popular Instagram.

“Indeed, the number of images on Instagram with the hashtag #foodporn has surpassed 124 million to date, and as such, offering dishes that make the perfect Instagram post will not only please diners but help to spread the word that your outlet is the place to visit for the latest trends in food.

“Our new buns are exactly what outlets need to add a little something extra to impress customers and ensure their menu stays ahead of the competition.”

Supplied in cases of 30, the new buns come pre-sliced and frozen in a thaw-and-serve format.
