VIDEO: Pernod Ricard calls for bartenders to ‘Stir It Up Wild’

Pernod Ricard UK is sponsoring a “wildcard” round of Matthew Clark’s inaugural Stir It Up cocktail competition, offering all UK bartenders the chance to win.

While the deadline for Matthew Clark customers to submit entries to the Stir It Up competition has passed, the “wildcard” entry is via social media with a deadline of March 31, 2018.

Any bartender in the UK can enter, uploading a photo or video of their cocktail inspired by “Summer 2018” via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, tagging @MatthewClarkLtd and using the hashtag #StirItUpWild.

Four shortlisted semi-finalists will be invited to the grand final in London on April 10. A panel of judges will then select the overall winner of the wildcard round.

The prize is a trip to the Absolut Bar Academy – a three-day educational cocktail-focused trip to Sweden. The trip will start in Åhus, the home of Absolut vodka, before heading to Stockholm to explore the cocktail scene.

The cocktail needs to be made within 90 seconds and use five ingredients or less. One of those ingredients must be a spirit from the Pernod Ricard UK portfolio such as Absolut, Jameson, Beefeater gin, Havana Club rum, Monkey 47 whiskey or Malibu.
