Five in a row for Pipers Crisps

Pipers Crisps has had some good news to start the new year – the company has been voted as Britain’s Best Brand of savoury snacks for the fifth year in a row.

The Lincolnshire-based crisp producer topped the Fine Foods Digest 2017 poll in the annual survey of speciality food products on sale in the UK voted for by retailers.

“We’re really pleased to have won the Best Brand award for the fifth time in a row,” Pipers Crisps’ founder Alex Albone said. “This is a very special award for us because it is voted for by the retailers themselves; our own customers. It shows that we’re consistently doing the right things, and doing them to a very high standard.”

Rather than introducing new flavours every few months, the company has been concentrating on making its entire range gluten-free, wheat-free and barley-free. The range now includes nine flavours which, between them, have won 31 gold Great Taste Awards since 2007.
