If you love vodka this could be the coolest job in the world…

Do you love vodka, have a creative nose and a trend-sensitive tongue? If you fit the bill, you could become Absolut vodka’s next sensory expert and will be responsible for exploring all the ways spirits are sensed and experienced.

After more than four decades in the industry, Per Hermansson, Absolut’s master sensory designer is about to retire. But before he does, he’s preparing to pass the baton to an entrepreneurial, passionate, disruptive thinker who will join the Absolut family.

Whether you’re using your tasting skills to develop a brand new global bestseller or hosting master classes about spirits and their different characteristic tastes and scents, you’ll travel the world to keep up-to-date with all the latest trends in the world of food and drink.

“This is one of the most complex jobs in the business – you need to be equal parts innovator, chemist, teacher, creator and ambassador,” said Per. “This person not only needs to have the technical skills needed for the job, but a passion for creativity to keep Absolut at the forefront of innovation.”

The sensory expert will be a tastemaker and trendspotter in everything related to flavour and smell. As well as traveling around the globe, you will spend time in the picturesque Swedish town of Ahus where the Absolut story originates. Every ingredient that makes it into each bottle, and the bottle itself, comes from this tiny village in southern Sweden.
