UK’s Sophie Bratt is through to the final of Margarita of the Year

UK entrant Sophie Bratt will be competing in the Patrón Tequila 2017 Margarita of the Year final with her entry, English Garden Margarita.

Seven top bartenders from around the world were recently selected to gather at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, to create their own interpretations of a perfect margarita. These takes on the margarita originated from cities across the globe, from New York to Sydney and London to Mexico City, showcasing the versatility of Patrón Tequila.

Representing both the UK and Europe in the competition, finalist Sophie Bratt of London’s iconic OXO Tower Restaurant created a British twist on the classic margarita with her English Garden Margarita recipe, featuring Patrón Silver tequila, Patrón Citrónge orange liqueur, green sugar snap peas and Earl Grey tea. The serve is available to enjoy at any Harvey Nichols bar in the UK and at the OXO Tower Restaurant.

The finalists will now compete for the Margarita of the Year title and trophy to exhibit in their bar. Sophie will be up against Riesler Morales from Mexico City and American Shaun Gordon.

Voting is now open to find the winning margarita recipe from the final three, results will be announced on April 17 and you can vote for Sophie Bratt to win by clicking here where you can check out videos and recipes, so you can learn to mix your own margaritas at home.
