80s club joins celebrations for National Piña Colada Day

Eighties-themed nightclub Maggie’s in London is celebrating National Piña Colada Day with a special menu featuring twists on the popular classic cocktail.

On National Piña Colada Day on Friday and again on Saturday, the Chelsea club will offer an Original Piña Colada made with Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, Coco Lopez cream of coconut, fresh pineapples, pineapple juice and lime juice but also several twists.

Pictured above, they will include an Amaretto Colada, a rich and nutty combination of amaretto, Coco Lopez, fresh pineapples, pineapple juice, and lime juice, and the Iguana Colada, a sweet mix of Bacardi Carta Blanca, Midori, Coco Lopez, fresh pineapples, pineapple juice and lime juice.

The Kahlua Colada will be a rich coffee blend of Kahlua, Coco Lopez, fresh pineapples, pineapple juice, and lime juice.

The bar will also offer another modern classic, the Miami Vice, which is half Piña Colada, half Strawberry Daiquiri and named after the TV series that is another icon of the 1980s. It is made with Bacardi Carta Blanca, lime juice and sugar mixed together and poured over Bacardi Carta Blanca, Coco Lopez, fresh pineapples, pineapple juice, and lime juice.
