North Wales’ Aber Falls Whisky Distillery has extended its core range with the addition of a premium Small-Batch Welsh Gin.
The new gin is produced and bottled by hand in small batches at the distillery in Abergwyngregyn.
Made using water from the Rhaeadr Fawr – the famous Aber Falls waterfall – the expression leads with the “floral aroma of lavender”, which is complemented with “piney juniper and background notes of peppery spice”.
Bottled at 43% ABV, the 70cl expression is available in a new blue glass bottle, which is boldly embossed with the brand’s own unique Triquetra and complete with a wooden cap.
James Wright, managing director at Aber Falls Whisky Distillery, said: “So far, 2018 has been an outstanding first year for the Aber Falls brand and everyone involved!
“The launch of our latest Small-Batch Welsh Gin marks another major highpoint as we extend and enhance our range to capitalise on the premium gin trend and current demand.”
The news comes shortly after the brand made history last month by producing what is thought to be the first gin ever to be distilled on top of Mount Snowdon.
