Adnams joins the low-alcohol cider movement

Adnams Wild Wave 0.5% cider

Suffolk-based brewer and distiller Adnams has launched Wild Wave 0.5% cider to meet the rapidly growing demand for premium low-alcohol drinks.

The new low-ABV version follows the success of Adnams’ Wild Wave cider, which launched to the UK market last year.

The 0.5% ABV drink is made using a mix of English bittersweet and dessert apples grown in the heart of the Malvern Hills. It is also naturally gluten-free and vegan.

Fergus Fitzgerald, Adnams’ master brewer, said: “At Adnams, flavour is the most important part of our low-alcohol range. For Wild Wave 0.5%, that meant making sure it tastes like a real cider, rather than just apple juice.

“So, with James, our master of wine, we worked together to ensure the blend of heavy West Country cider with apple juice gives the true aromas, flavours and textures of a crisp English cider.”
