All Bar One expands with new airport bars

All Bar One Birmingham AirportMitchells & Butlers (M&B) has opened the first of two new All Bar One sites at Birmingham Airport, including a new takeaway coffee offering.

Opening airside last week, the 160-seater All Bar One (pictured) is located in the terminal’s South departure lounge for gates one to 20.

Next door to the main bar is the first Espresso All Bar One, a fast grab-and-go service featuring hand-crafted coffees, frappés, cakes, paninis and fresh-boxed salads.

In June, M&B will open a second larger 490 sq m 120-cover bar landside in the airport’s North area.

The two new bars follow the launch of a new All Bar One in the transport hub at London’s Euston station, taking the company to almost 50 sites nationwide

The two Birmingham Airport bars will be open from 4am to 9pm, seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner including the bars’ signature light bites, tapas and new global sharing plates.

A variety of sandwiches, main courses and an extensive wine, champagne, draught beers and cocktail list will also be available.

The bars will both incorporate a tasting table where customers can celebrate a special occasion or, if they have extra time on their hands, book cocktail master classes.

Design features synonymous with All Bar One’s newest remodelled sites include exposed brick walls, natural wood, low-hanging lights and a combination of luxurious leather banquettes, high stools and chairs.

Susan Chappell, All Bar One retail director, said: “We are delighted to be launching All Bar One within one of the country’s most vibrant and expanding airports. It follows on from the recent success of Euston station, representing another step forward for the brand into the travel sector.”

Richard Gill, Birmingham Airport’s head of commercial, said: “The opening of the first of two All Bar One sites at Birmingham Airport has dramatically improved the food and beverage offer in the South departure lounge and also provides all passengers with an extensive menu and bar choice from a popular brand before jetting off.

“We’re very proud to become the first All Bar One airport site and we look forward to launching the completed programme for our passengers and visitors in the summer when the landside unit opens.”
