Nominations for the 2015 ALMR Late Night Awards have opened, seeking the best operators in areas such as food, drink, entertainment and marketing.

With a deadline of August 14, the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers is seeking people to nominate up to three companies in each category. It also includes an award for the UK’s best late-night venue.

The winners will be announced at this year’s Dusk ‘til Dawn event on October 27 which will be held after the ALMR’s annual Bar and Nightclub Conference for the late-night sector and night-time industries.

The categories are:

  • Late Night Food
  • Late Night Drink
  • Late Night Entertainment
  • Service & Team Development
  • Marketing & Promotions
  • Late Night Venue

Nominations are via, and can include self-nominations.

A shortlist of nominees will be created by a panel of judges comprising selected industry professionals who are able to evaluate merit in their respective fields.

Shortlists will then be published for open voting. Participants can vote in all categories across multiple nominees but may not repeat a vote. The top three finalists in each category will be announced in advance of the ceremony.

The 2015 Late Night Awards are sponsored by Bacardi, Matthew Clark, Molson Coors and Orderella.

ALMR chief executive Kate Nicholls said: “Now in its third year, the ALMR’s Dusk ‘til Dawn ceremony is the only event committed to recognising the businesses that drive the country’s vibrant night-time economy and spearhead our live and electronic music scenes.

“The awards process is open and highly inclusive as it is nominated, voted and judged by industry peers. This is a chance to identify and celebrate the UK’s most innovative nightclubs and bars, businesses at the cutting edge of late-night entertainment.

“The UK’s late-night entertainment sector is one of the best in the world, setting global trends and inspiring and nurturing world-class artistic talent. The ALMR is very excited to once again recognise the highest standards amongst clubs, bars, and festival and event organisers and to continue to promote this vital part of our economy.”

Winners last year included The Luminar Group (now The Deltic Group), Stonegate Pub Company, Be At One Group, Living Ventures, Beds & Bars and The Viper Rooms in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and Sheffield, operated by Harewood Group.
