American Southern hospitality inspires new spiced ice tea

Sweet Sally Spiced Iced Tea

Long hot Mississippi summers and Southern hospitality have inspired the UK launch of a spiced iced tea for serving over ice or with spirits.

After 18 months of research and development, Sweet Sally Spiced Tea has been launched by UK-based entrepreneur Nicole Vaughan Wetherley who grew up in the US Southern states.

It is made with freshly brewed organic Ceylon black tea, Spanish oranges, Sicilian lemons, a touch of organic sugar and a blend of cinnamon and cloves.

Early stockists include London gastropubs such as The Truscott Arms, The Harwood Arms, The Wells, The Stag and the Mall Tavern. “Our early adopters are market leaders, with a common shared passion to provide their customers with a complete drinks experience, beyond the traditional fizzy, sugary soft drinks,” Nicole said.

“Sweet Sally Tea is for the person looking for an all-natural, deliciously light and refreshing drink, that isn’t loaded with sugar, carbonated and high in calories.

“With every sip of Sweet Sally Iced Tea I’m instantly transported back to a porch overlooking the Mississippi Delta.”
