A promotion running exclusively in bars and pubs this autumn for Appletiser will give consumers the chance to win a shopping spree with top singer-songwriter Eliza Doolittle.
Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE), which distributes the brand, is continuing its “Sparkle On” partnership with Doolittle who is the “creative ambassador” for Appletiser, including appearances in advertising (pictured).
Running throughout September and October, the on-trade promotion will offer the top prize of the all-expenses-paid shopping trip to London with Eliza for two but will also have secondary prizes of 100 shopping sprees worth £100 each.
Outlets will be able to communicate the promotion to consumers through point-of-sale materials that encourage entry via Facebook by using on-pack QR codes.
Phil Thomson, associate director of portfolio brands at Coca-Cola Enterprises, said: “The on-premise channel is Appletiser’s heartland and the latest part of our ‘Sparkle On’ campaign really reflects its importance to the brand.
“Appletiser is the perfect accompaniment to those social occasions where people are looking for a premium soft drink, potentially as an alternative to alcohol.
“We would urge on-premise outlets to make the most of the POS materials available to them to generate extra excitement around the brand and encourage incremental sales this autumn.”
Launched over 30 years ago, Appletiser is a gently sparkling 100% fruit juice that contains no added sugar, preservatives or colourants and officially counts as one of the recommended “five a day” portions of fruit and vegetables.
