Appleton Estate releases ‘rare’ 30-year-old rum

Appleton Estate 30 Year Old

Campari-owned Appleton Estate is launching a 30 Year Old limited edition expression which celebrates the legacy and premium quality of Jamaican rum.

Ten years ago, Appleton Estate released a 30 Year Old blend with only 1,440 bottles available globally. Due to popular demand for the original blend, a new expression, which is described as “even more prestigious than the first”, is now being introduced.

While the youngest drop of rum has been aged for at least 30 years, the new expression also includes rums aged for more than 50 years.

Created by master distiller Joy Spence, Appleton Estate 30 Year Old is said to feature notes of vibrant vanilla, toasted oak, ginger and warm cinnamon, with a smooth and long spiced honey finish. To fully appreciate the flavours, Joy recommends it to be served neat or on the rocks.

Joy said: “This Appleton Estate 30 Year Old is one of my favorite rums and really celebrates years of fine, handcrafted rums in the Nassau Valley of Jamaica.

“We are very proud of this limited blend, which includes a rare mix of rum dating back decades and demonstrates the high-quality rum Jamaica is known for.”
