Potato specialist Aviko has launched new Piri Piri Wedges, tapping into demand for barbecue and spicy flavours.
Ready from frozen in only three minutes, the skin-on jacket potato wedges feature a generous sprinkling of piri piri seasoning for a tasty kick.
They are suitable as a side to a main course, in sharing platters, as a bar snack or for takeaway.
Mohammed Essa, Aviko’s general manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “Not only are consumers looking for more spicy food when eating out, but almost half are willing to pay a premium for a side dish that offers a kick, which means there’s a clear profit opportunity available to those operators that deliver on this demand.
