The bosses of some of Britain’s leading bar operators are among speakers announced for the Casual Dining show in February.

The Keynote Theatre programme will feature Chris Hill (pictured), CEO of The New World Trading Company, which continues to expand with bars and restaurants such as The Botanist and new concept The Florist.

He joins the previously announced Nick Collins, CEO of the Loungers group, who will talk about the growth of Lounge bars and Cosy Club.

The line-up will also include Jon Knight, CEO of Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group, Zoe Bowley, managing director of PizzaExpress, James Spragg, chief operating officer of Casual Dining Group, and Susan Chappell, a divisional director at Mitchells & Butlers.

Others speaking over the two days will include Mark Smith, managing director of Pho, Luisa Fernandez, marketing director of Yo!, and Brian Trollip, operations director of Dishoom.

Insights will be provided by Graeme Loudon of CGA Strategy, covering the impact of rising food price inflation on casual dining operators, and Jamie Campbell from CGA on looking beyond demographics to understand your consumer. Foodservice expert Peter Backman will discuss the challenges facing the casual dining sector.

They are part of a packed programme at Casual Dining 2018, which returns to the Business Design Centre in London on February 21 and 22 alongside over 200 exhibitors showcasing new products, equipment and services.

Susan Chappell from M&B said: “Casual Dining show is an opportunity to mix with all sorts of brilliant people from across our sector, discuss real issues that impact our industry, as well as sharing stories that inspire and energise us to do something differently.”

Zoe Bowley from PizzaExpress added: “It is important to connect with competitors and trade alike to ensure we share best practice and continue to focus on making this sector an attractive place to work and deliver memorable experiences. Casual Dining is a chance to share thinking and discuss the big topics facing the market, as well as to meet both new supplier opportunities and network with industry contacts.”

Entry to the show’s Keynote Theatre, sponsored by Yumpingo, is free with advance visitor registration. For more information, and to register for a free trade ticket, visit and quote priority code CD5.
