BAR TERMINI TOUR: 6th ANNUAL CHARITY CYCLE RIDE

Bar Termini will commence its sixth annual Charity Cycle Ride on 13th September 2021, with participants cycling the iconic 55-mile route between Bar Termini’s Soho location in London to Brighton’s beachfront.

To support the event, Untitled Drinks will, for the first time, create 250 limited-edition 700ml bottled Milano-Torino cocktails made with signature quality ingredients to honour the heritage of the race and to support fundraising efforts for the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH).

25% of proceeds from cocktail sales and 100% of donations received will be allocated to GOSH to fund research into children’s health, support for families and children, rebuilding and refurbishment, and life-saving medical equipment.

Cycle Tour History

Bar Termini founded the Bar Termini Cycling Tour in 2016.
The Cycling Tour was initially undertaken by four riders and was designed to build comradery within the Bar Termini team, as well as raising important funds for UK charities.

The charity cycling tour initially emulated the world-famous Milano-Torino semi classic European single day cycling race founded in 1876, before beginning a new tradition riding from London to Brighton in 2020 amid Covid-19 travel restrictions.

The Cocktail

The Milano-Torino Limited Edition Cocktail
Supporting the fundraising efforts of the ride for the first time, Untitled Drinks, have created 250 bespoke, limited-edition Milano-Torino bottled drinks.

The cocktail, originally created in the 1860s at Caffé Compariano in Milan, is the predecessor of both the Negroni and the Americano. Its name derives from the origins of its traditional ingredients, Milanese Campari and Rosso Sweet Vermouth from Turin, and is traditionally served with an orange slice in an old-fashioned glass over ice.

Serving Instructions:

The Untitled Drinks Milano Torino has been designed to be served in the classic style, using 80ml of liquid from the bottle, served on the rocks (over ice) and garnished with an orange slice

Ingredients & Process:

Untitled Drinks has created the Milano Torino using Italian Vermouth and bitter liqueur which has been steeped in a sous vide, with dry essences are added and finally, diluting the drink to the perfect serve.

Tasting notes:

The Untitled Drinks Milano Torino is a traditional blend of Italian vermouth and Italian bitter. The result is low abv aperitif cocktail which you can enjoy from aperitivo hours throughout the whole evening. The drink has strong, warm and rich botanical notes, yet has freshness and lightness on the finish.

Bar Termini

Founded in November 2014, Bar Termini was designed to pay homage to the Rome’s infamous bustling Termini Station bar and to transport guests to the classic atmosphere of 1950s Rome.

This London favourite occupies an intimate space at the end of Soho’s old Compton Street where guests can take a seat at the hand full of wooden tables, or a bar stall at the classical marble topped bar.

White-jacketed bar tenders serve a small but perfectly crafted menu of Italian Coffees and Cocktails and are renowned for their stunning range of bottled Negroni. Bar Termini captures the hearts of locals and visitors alike, thanks to its undeniably charming nostalgia.
