Known as the ultimate destination for the hospitality industry, The Restaurant Show 2019 have revealed its dedicated Bar and Pub zone will be back at the show this year. One of the show’s highlights is the extensive list of sessions on at The Stage and Liquid Hub so here is a taster of the speakers you can expect to be giving their knowledge, insight and advice.
The generation game:
Join Chloe Combi, a world leading expert on Generation Z and the author of ‘Generation Z: Their Voices, Their Lives.’ Chloe is a sought-out speaker, consultant and futurist who advises government, brands and think-tanks on what the future looks like. Visitors to the show are bound to feel inspired after gaining insight and discovering the thinking and behaviours of Generation Z to drive bar and pub sales.
Making sober sexy:
Bars and pubs can discover how to tap into the low and no alcohol beer trend with beer writer turned non-drinker, Richard Fox. He will guide visitors through this fast-growing sector with a top tasting session whilst offering practical advice on unlocking the category that’s making sober sexy in 2019.
Train and retain:
Uncover how teaching and up-skilling staff boosts efficiency, profits and employees’ prospects from a host of business-owners and industry specialists in a panel chaired by Jill Whittaker from HIT Training Ltd.
The North-South divide:
Northern bars and restaurants are growing at more than double the rate of those in London and dominating hospitality league tables. Stefan Chomka will meet the people driving the boost such as Mark Birchall from Moor Hall which came out on top in the National Restaurant Awards. These panellists will be exploring how struggling casual dining chains can provide fresh opportunities for smart and ambitious independents.
The biggest culinary showcase on stage:
As well as an incredible stage line-up, The Restaurant Show will also play host to exciting culinary competitions including The National Chef of the Year final and for the first time ever, the UK selection for the Bocuse d’Or.
