Bars confirmed for Cocktails in the City festival in Leeds

Cocktails in the City Leeds Amistat The East Village Bacardi

Bars across Leeds have been confirmed for this year’s Cocktails in the City festival which has been extended to two nights because of its success in previous years.

Taking place on April 7 and 8 at Leeds Town Hall, the event brings together pop-ups from 20 venues which will present signature cocktails in partnership with leading spirits and liqueurs brands.

The bars and restaurants confirmed are Bar Soba, Chaophraya, Jake’s Bar, Mojo, Revolucion de Cuba, Roxy Ballroom, Roxy Lanes, SkyLounge at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, The Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes, The East Village, Manahatta, Cielo Blanco, The Hedonist Project, Chez Mal at Malmaison Leeds, Almost Famous, Pintura, MeatLiquor, The Alchemist, Roast + Conch, and Jones Bar Group (Brooklyn Bar and 51% Bourbon).

They will be competing to win the coveted “Best Cocktail” award. Drinks will include Amistat (pictured) – the cocktail that earned a place in the UK final of this year’s Bacardi Legacy competition for The East Village’s owner Oliver Pluck.

The event, aimed at consumers, runs from 6pm to 11pm over both nights – extended to a second day after sell-out events in 2014 and 2015.

Exclusive experiences are set to include a Tick Tock Unlock escape room, a rum and chocolate tasting with Hotel Chocolat and street food vendors in the undercover Crypt.

“Access all areas” tickets will include the unique opportunity to sip cocktails in The Clock Tower, with views across the city and beyond, and find the hidden bars in the Victorian prison cells.

Tabara N’Diaye, one of the organisers of Cocktails in the City around the UK, said: “Every year we challenge ourselves to build on previous editions and make each festival even better than the one before.

“In addition to the extraordinary line-up of bars we’re working with, many of which are new to the city, we’re delighted to be partnering with an array of fantastic Leeds businesses to offer a plethora of tastings, masterclasses, games and culinary pairings.”

With tickets sold out three weeks before the event last year, people are being advised to book early. Tickets are available at the ticket office in Trinity Leeds and online at
