Bars and restaurants across Brighton and Hove will come together in July for the return of Brighton Cocktail Week, featuring 10 days of events, pop-ups and special menus.

Presented by The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival and the Mixology Group, it will run from Friday July 6 to Sunday July 15, with more than 30 venues taking part across the city and the surrounding area.

It starts with the Cocktail Court in the Paganini Ballroom and Regency Room at Brighton’s historic Old Ship Hotel on July 6 and 7, featuring over 20 local spirits producers and international alcohol and soft drinks brands including Tuaca, Bacardí and Fentimans.

Open to anyone who has bought a £10 wristband, it will offer visitors a range of different cocktails at £5 each. The wristband also entitles people to special cocktails at participating bars and restaurants.

Brighton Cocktail Week closes on July 16 with Brighton’s first-ever Flair World Open at The Haunt, supported by Bacardí. This head-to-head competition finishes the week with a party which promises to have a big-name DJ spinning the decks.

Events will include Cocktail Fusion at La Choza on Monday July 9 when six of Brighton’s top bartenders will team up with six of Brighton’s favourite street food kitchens for a feast of flavours through small plates and bespoke matched cocktails.

Other events are cocktails and cheese at La Cave a Fromage, a Negroni masterclass with Blackdown Artisan Spirits at Market Restaurant, a one-off frozen dinner masterminded by gelato supremo Seb Cole of Boho Gelato, a historical-themed canapés and cocktail event at Metrodeco with food historian Sam Bilton, and various pop-up bars and menu takeovers celebrating the city’s vibrant cocktail scene.
