Bar’s new cocktail menu champions British ingredients

A menu of “British” cocktails has been introduced at Mews of Mayfair brasserie and cocktail bar in London’s Mayfair.

In keeping with the brasserie’s patriotic support of British produce, the new menu uses British-produced spirits, wines, beers and fruit wherever possible for drinks that are twists on traditional serves.

They include The Somerset Sour made with 10-year-old brandy mixed with fresh lemon, woody sage and tropical pineapple, and The Sesame Street (pictured top) – a Glenmorangie Whisky Sour infused with the flavours of apricots, sesame oil, egg white and a toasted seed topping.

The Lavender Road (pictured below) is made with Hendrick’s Gin from Scotland, mixed with Martini Extra Dry and Bianco vermouths and finished with velvet falernum and lavender.

The cocktails, priced at £14, were developed by the bar team at Mews of Mayfair under James Williamson.
