Bars partner Reyka Vodka to bring taste of Iceland to London

Reyka Iceland

Bars are partnering premium Icelandic vodka Reyka to bring a taste of Iceland to London, including a re-creation of the Northern Lights.

The William Grant & Sons brand has selected 18 bars, restaurants and clubs in the Hackney area to run special events such as cocktail masterclasses, live music, Icelandic feasts and street art.

A highlight of the activity will be a water projection showing the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, at The Barge House in De Beauvoir Town on November 25 and 26.

The Reyka Expedition runs from now until November 26, with regular appearances by Reyka’s UK brand ambassador Fabiano Latham. Special Reyka cocktails will be available at Mint Gun Club, Shep’s, Three Sheets, Map Maison, Original Sin, Behind This Wall, Every Cloud, Silver Lining, Looking Glass Cocktail Club, The Natural Philosopher, Helgi’s and The Gibson.

Live music includes Icelandic rock band Vio at Honeymoon in Hackney Road tonight (November 15) and a gig at Kansas Smitty’s on November 24 and live painting by street artist Selur at Four Quarters East on November 18 and 19.

Reyka vodka is distilled in Borgarnes in Iceland, filtered through lava rocks and made with naturally pure water from an arctic spring that runs through a 4,000-year-old lava field.
