Bars ready for London Cocktail Week with special cocktails

A special cocktail will be on offer at Dirty Martini bars to celebrate London Cocktail Week as part of the festival’s Cocktail Tours.

People with London Cocktail Week wristbands will be able to enjoy the Lady in Red for just £4 at Dirty Martini bars in Covent Garden, Hanover Square and Bishopsgate (pictured).

The drink is made with 35ml of Beefeater Gin, 15ml of Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur, 15ml of lemon juice, 15ml of homemade strawberry syrup and 15ml of egg white. Served straight up in a Nick and Nora glass, it is garnished with a strawberry slice and a sprinkle of cracked black pepper

London Cocktail Week, which runs from October 6 to 12, will see 250 bars offering £4 cocktails to wristband wearers as part of the popular Cocktail Tours. Details of how to buy wristbands at

Bar and coffee shop Soho Grind in Beak Street, near Carnaby Street, will be offering the Grind’s Espresso Martini for £4 to wristband wearers. Made from vodka and Soho Grind’s espresso coffee, it is shaken hard for a perfect London Cocktail Week pick-me-up.

Whyte & Brown restaurant in Kingly Court, off Carnaby Street, has chosen to offer its signature cocktail, the Whyte Wine Spritz, made with white wine, rhubarb bitters, rose lemonade, mint and lemon zest.

At seafood and oyster house Wright Brothers Soho, the London Cocktail Week cocktail will be The Basil Fawlty, a mix of vodka, sugar syrup, fresh lemon juice and basil leaves shaken over ice and served in a coupette and topped with soda.

Stylish cocktail bar and club Bitter Sweet in Kingly Court will offer its Andean Dusk cocktail, made from ABA Pisco, elderflower cordial and lime juice shaken with fresh egg whites and served with three drops of lavender bitters.
