Bar owners across the country are being encouraged to get involved in Beer Day Britain on June 15.
2019 marks the fifth year of the national celebration, which is supported by all sectors of the brewing, pub, and beer retailing industries.
Beer Day Britain works by everyone who makes, sells, advocates or drinks beer helping to build support and organize Beer Day Britain events.
A national ‘Cheers to Beer’ will take place at 7pm, where people can raise a glass to beer. Bars can also host special events such as a mini beer festival, providing beer and food pairing menus, and using social media to build support with the hashtag #CheersToBeer.
Jane Peyton, instigator and project manager of Beer Day Britain, said: “We have so much to be proud of with Britain’s vibrant brewing heritage and current brewing scene and the fact that our pubs and bars are a cornerstone of the social life of the nation.
“Now we have an official day to celebrate beer in Britain so please join us for a national party so we can make Beer Day Britain the best beer fiesta in the world!”
