Bartender becomes Bulldog Gin brand champion


Tom Finnon Bulldog GinBartender Tom Finnon (pictured) has been appointed to the role of brand champion for super-premium London dry gin Bulldog.

He will represent the brand at trade shows, deliver training to bar staff and develop showcase drinks, including its new higher-ABV expression Bulldog Gin Bold.

Tom began his career in Oracle bar, Leeds, in 2006, where he spent five years, rising to manager. He later joined Smokestack in Leeds, becoming general site manager after six months.

Commenting on his love of the bar trade, he said: “As soon as you find a job you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

His favourite Bulldog-based cocktails include the Bramble (see below).

Bulldog Gin is distilled with 12 different botanicals from nine countries such as the sweet lychee-like Dragon Eye, the sweet nutty white poppy from Turkey, and fruity, perfumed lotus leaf from China. Made from 100% British grain and bottled at 40% ABV, it is made in a copper pot still.

Current on-trade listings include London bars The Drunken Monkey, Sketch and Hush.


Bulldog Bramble

50ml Bulldog
25ml Fresh lemon
20ml 3:2 sugar syrup
Drizzle of crème de mûre or Chambord
Garnish: Lemon wedge and two raspberries

Pour all ingredients into a glass and topped with crushed ice, drizzled with crème de mûre or Chambord. Garnished with a lemon wedge and two raspberries.
