Awards for Diageo Reserve brands

Diageo Reserve brands are the best-performing collection of spirit brands this year, according to Drink’s International Bar Report 2017.

The luxury portfolio of Diageo has been recognized for the second year in a row in the annual report, which highlights the best-selling and top trending brands chosen by bartenders from some of the world’s best bars.

Tanqueray was the big winner as it picked up the titles of Bartenders’ Choice and Best-selling Spirit. Ketel One was awarded Best-selling vodka for the fifth year in a row and the number one Top Trending brand in the category for a third year. Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey held first place position from the previous year in both the Best-selling and Most Trending categories. Johnnie Walker and Don Julio were also voted as the number one Best-selling spirits in their respective categories.

Cristina Diezhandino, Diageo Reserve managing director, said: “I am delighted to see our portfolio continues to be so successful at these globally recognised industry awards.

“Overall, the success of the Diageo Reserve Portfolio has been underpinned by the strong performance of the World Class platform, aimed at inspiring people to drink better. To date, World Class has trained over 250,000 bartenders globally and recent feedback from the community showed that 94% would now recommend a Diageo Reserve brand at the point of purchase.”

The report is the result of polling 100 of the best bars in the world as defined by The World’s 50 Best Bars Academy of more than 400 global industry experts.
