Barworks to open third 5cc cocktail bar

Exmouth Arms 5ccBarworks is to open its third hidden cocktail bar under the 5cc name with plans for a new site tucked away in the City of London.

The bar, which will specialise in whiskies, will be above Harrild & Sons, an old print house turned public house in Farringdon Street.

It follows Barworks’ opening of 5cc bars above The Exmouth Arms in Exmouth Market in north London (pictured) and beneath The Well & Bucket on Bethnal Green Road in east London.

Opening in early December, it promises an impressive collection of rare and sought-after whiskies that have been sourced from around the world, from Japan to Kentucky. The selection and the cocktails have been put together by 5cc’s bar manager Piyush Chavda and his team.

The bar will be open Tuesday to Thursday from 6pm to 1am and Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 3am. However, the bar will offer membership that provides priority booking and after-hours access from 1am to 3am each night.

The menu at 5cc in the City of London will include the bars’ signature Forgotten Range, mixes that are aged at the bar in vintage perfume bottles.

Alongside this will be a selection of vintage spirits and liqueurs sourced from independent and boutique suppliers, handpicked by Piyush.

The food menu will consist of a carefully selected range of oysters and other seafood, served with “unexpected and unusual” accompaniments.
