Beers and seasonal hot drinks are being served up for thirsty skaters at a pop-up run by the team behind Bristol bar Beerd (pictured).
The Après Skate Bar opens today (November 27) as part of the Clifton on Ice experience in Clifton Village in Bristol, running until January 4.
The bar in Clifton Down Road is designed as a ski lodge, offering New York-inspired “Posh Dogs” hot dogs and other snacks as well as hot drinks, craft beers from Bath Ales’ Beerd brewery, and a “Bubble Bar” menu of champagne and champagne cocktails.
It builds on the success of Beerd, the craft beer and pizza bar opened by Bath Ales in St Michaels Hill in Cotham three years ago. This summer, they ran a pop-up version of Beerd in Clifton Down Road.
Robin Couling, managing director of Bath Ales, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our involvement with the development in Clifton and re-opening our Beerd pop-up bar.
“Following the success it had in the summer, it’s fantastic to be part of this unique ice rink in the heart of Clifton. We want people to have an unforgettable experience and we have a food and drinks offer to match.”
Clifton on Ice and the Après Skate bar will be open daily Monday to Saturday from 10am to 10pm and on Sundays 10am to 8pm. It will be closed on Christmas Day.
With a part indoor, part outdoor skating rink, it has been created by the people behind Bath on Ice in collaboration with property developer THAT Group and Acorn Group.
