Be At One expands beyond London to Brighton

be at oneThe 17-strong Be At One Group is expanding with its second site outside London, taking over the site of Cube Bar in Castle Square, Brighton.

The 1,960 sq ft venue, covering two floors, is set to be followed by more sites outside of the capital, with plans for a total estate of 23 by the end of March after investment by Piper Private Equity. Be At One is already in talks for a third undisclosed location outside of London.

Opened in 2011, Cube Bar has established a reputation for cocktails and late-night partying with a regular line-up of DJs and club nights.

Expansion to Brighton follows the opening of Be At One’s first site outside of London earlier this year after it took over and revamped Sahara in Reading.

The group is also due to open its first late-night venue in the West End after taking on the former site of Tex-Mex restaurant Los Locos in Russell Street in Covent Garden.

Launching in October, the 1,869 sq ft venue will be open until 3am Mondays to Saturdays and until 12.30am on Sundays.

The group was advised by Restaurant Property on both deals.

Restaurant Property agency director David Rawlinson said: “Be At One has come along way since its first venue in 1998 at Battersea Rise. Londoners have lapped up Be At One’s cocktail offering and service style, and this has provided a great platform for the group to consider extending its focus outside the capital.”

In October, it is also due to open another Be At One in London’s West End in Wimpole Street in the former site of The Wimpole pub.
