Black Cow Vodka seeks cocktails made with British ingredients

Black Cow Vodka

A cocktail competition has been launched for Black Cow Vodka, challenging bartenders to create a drink using only ingredients found in the British countryside.

The Black Cow Gold Top Cup is seeking recipes that are original and tell a story, reflecting how the brand is made only from the milk of grass-grazed cows in west Dorset.

With a deadline of February 14, successful entrants will go through to regional heats taking place across the UK in March. The final will be held at The Seaside Boarding House Bar & Restaurant in Burton Bradstock in Dorset in July.

The winner of each heat will receive a personalised Black Cow pure milk vodka cocktail bag with branded cocktail kit and an inspirational foraging trip with River Cottage’s expert forager and drinks enthusiast John Wright.

The overall winner will win the trophy, a weekend for two at Soho House’s Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire and automatic entry into Black Cow’s first global cocktail competition which will take place in 2017.

Judges will mark on taste, presentation and narrative content.
