Bleak winter inspires hot cocktails at London bar

bourne hollingsworth hot cocktail 1The team at London bar Bourne & Hollingsworth have responded to the bleak winter months by introducing a range of hot cocktails.

Highlights from the hot winter cocktail menu include the Pimmsberry (pictured top), made with gin and Pimm’s infused with blueberry and raspberry tea, plus ginger, cardamom and cranberry juice.

The Flying Scotsman is a rich blend of port and a smoky malt whisky and heather tea, sweetened with raisin sugar, honey water and muscovado sugar.

The Toddy Bear’s Picnic is Scotch whisky warmed with sharp oranges and lemons, softened with Demerara sugar and honey and spiced up with cinnamon and cloves.

The Cocoa Loco (pictured below) is a hot chocolate laced with cognac and served with mini marshmallows.

Named after a department store that once stood on nearby Oxford Street, Bourne & Hollingsworth is inspired by gentlemen’s clubs and chintzy 1920s tearooms, with flowered silk wallpaper and lace tablecloths alongside a dark green leather panelled bar and soda siphons.
