Bombay Sapphire rolls out limited edition summer gin

Bombay Sapphire Garden Estate

Bombay Sapphire has launched a limited edition gin inspired by the English countryside surrounding the brand’s Laverstoke Mill Distillery in summer.

The new gin, named English Estate, balances the familiar citrus notes of Bombay’s London Dry gin with three new botanicals: pennyroyal mint, rosehip and toasted hazelnut.

These new additions are blended to produce “bright citrus notes invigorated with mint, which create a vibrant gin for the ultimate summer refreshment”.

Bombay Sapphire’s master of botanicals Ivano Tonutti said: “I am lucky enough to travel the world to source only the finest botanicals to infuse into our heritage gins.

“However, some of the best ingredients are found right on our doorstep, gathered from the great English countryside.

“These new botanical additions within Bombay Sapphire English Estate have been carefully chosen to complement the existing formula of Bombay Sapphire, resulting in a unique flavour profile, so gin lovers can enjoy a taste of English summertime.”

Sam Carter, senior brand ambassador for Bombay Sapphire, added: “Bombay Sapphire English Estate is a gin with plenty of complexity, but like all our unrivalled products, it is rooted in being of the highest quality.

“A slightly more prominent botanical taste provides an elevation in citrus flavour and is the ideal canvas for many creative cocktail recipes.

“Whether mixed in a spritz, combined with bolder flavours, or kept simple in a G&T, it’s the must-have accompaniment to a summer’s day – whether the weather is playing ball or not.”

The team at Bombay Sapphire suggest serving English Estate as a “refreshing twist” on a classic G&T by pouring over ice with premium tonic and garnish with a spring of mint and lemon wedge.

Alternatively, combine with a premium ginger ale and cloudy apple juice to create The English Secret Garden sharing cocktail.

Bombay Sapphire English Estate is the first of a number of limited editions due from the brand in the coming years.
