The 15-year leases on Bliss and Chilli White (pictured), formerly part of the Yellowhammer Bars estate, have been acquired by Pure Lounge Bar Bournemouth Ltd whose directors also own late-night bar Plush.

The two Bournemouth venues, which both cover about 9,500 sq ft, were handled by leisure property specialist DCL, with Goadsby as joint agent.

DCL said interest in the properties were a sign of a strong leisure market in Bournemouth. Jonathan Moradoff, associate director at DCL said: “The leisure market in Bournemouth is going from strength to strength at the moment and it was no surprise the amount of interest we received in these two popular venues.

“These are excellent premises right in the heart of the town’s late-night district. We have no doubt that the new owner will make them a success.”

Located on St Peter’s Road in the town’s late-night partying area and surrounded by a mix of bars, restaurants and other clubs, the split-level units have extensive bar areas, dance floors, DJ booths, VIP areas and private booths as well as benefiting from 24-hour licences.

They were originally operated by Yellowhammer Bars which was broken up and put into administration last year.
