Britvic backs return of J2O Glitter Berry with incentives


J2O_Glitter berryBritvic Soft Drinks is bringing back its limited-edition J2O Glitter Berry for the party season, backed by incentives for both consumers and staff in the on-trade.

Glitter Berry is a combination of red grape, cherry and a hint of spice with edible gold glitter that sparkles when the bottle is shaken. This year marks its third year in the market.

Britvic is also promoting it for a signature serve in the on-trade, the J2O Glitter Ball, which mixes it with amaretto.

An on-pack promotion running from October to December will offer consumers the chance to win one of three “ultimate” parties, each worth up to £20,000, to celebrate Fireworks Night on a country estate, Christmas in a London townhouse or New Year in Edinburgh.

With luxurious style, each party will include a personal butler, limousine transport and a surprise celebrity appearance.

To enter, consumers visit the competition website, available on desktop, tablet and smartphone, at www.j2o.co.uk and upload the unique code printed on every bottle.

This becomes the consumer’s entry ticket to the “J2O Party Kitty” where – via a game – they will receive a set of lottery numbers for the monthly live draw for each code they enter. To win a party, consumers need to match all five numbers.

The promotion will also give consumers chances to win instant prizes, ranging from hampers to dress-up kits for parties. It is supported by marketing investment across radio and social media while a special festive gold cap will create standout behind the bar.

The activity also includes a trade incentive giving licensees the chance to win one of three Christmas shopping trips to New York.

A unique code will be hidden on the reverse of 8,000 of the festive gold bottle caps. Each time a J2O is sold, staff can check for the unique code to see if they have won by visiting www.j2o.co.uk/bottlecap.

In addition to the transatlantic shopping trips worth £10,000 each, staff can win one of 10 weekend shopping trips to London and a selection of high-street vouchers.

J2O Glitter Berry will benefit from the halo effect of the £750,000 marketing support for the total J2O brand, leading with a TV campaign, print, social media and in-outlet activation, including posters, drip mats and tent cards throughout October and November.
