Britvic champions mixers for London Cocktail Week pop-up

The Winking Pig

Soft drinks group Britvic has teamed up with leading consultancy Hedonist Drinks for a pop-up celebrating mixers for London Cocktail Week.

They are creating a bar called The Winking Pig in the Cocktail Village at Old Spitalfields Market, showcasing a new selection of cocktails plus the company’s “biggest launch of the year for the on-trade”.

The drinks have been created by Hedonist Drinks, the team of bartenders who have been working with Britvic on various projects as well as running their own bar The Hedonist Project in Leeds.

All proceeds from the bar will be donated to industry charity, Hospitality Action. The funds raised will help to support people of all ages, working and retired, from the hospitality industry who are in need.

The bar will operate throughout London Cocktail Week which runs from October 3 to 9.

Russell Kirkham, senior shopper marketing manager for out of home at Britvic Soft Drinks, said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting such an important industry charity with all the proceeds from our Winking Pig bar at London Cocktail Week going to Hospitality Action. Do stop by for a drink to taste our latest innovations and help us raise as much as possible for this great cause.”

Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, added: “We are just delighted that Britvic has nominated us in this way. London Cocktail Week is sure to be a great event and the funds raised in our honour really will make a tremendous difference to the lives of so many.”
