Soft drinks giant Britvic has developed a new spiced orange-flavoured mixer to complement dark spirits
Britvic Spiced Orange offers notes of caramel and vanilla, which, according to the brand, pairs perfectly with rum.
The new dark spirit mixer has been created to offer consumers choice and a new flavour combination when selecting drinks, strengthening operators’ dark spirits sales and capitalising on the growing industry trend.
Adam Russell, director of foodservice & licensed at Britvic, said: “The November launch will help to create demand for the product and also give us the chance to gain valuable operator feedback before we make it more widely available in the new year.
“We know that bartenders are busy and don’t have time for guesswork and we’ve therefore added the ideal dark spirit pairing on the neck label of the distinctive gold bottles – a first for mixers in the UK.
The new variant will be rolling out in outlets from November, before becoming more widely available in February 2020.
Britvic will be supporting the launch with its Sensational Drinks website, offering operators free cases of the product alongside materials, including recipe cards, bar merchandise and outlet POS.
