Brookie’s Gin releases macadamia nut liqueur


Australian-based Cape Byron Distillery has revealed its latest creation: Mac by Brookie’s, a premium roasted macadamia nut liqueur.

The liqueur is created by steeping roasted macadamia nuts, macadamia nut shell and native Australian wattleseed in a wheat based neutral spirit, before adding pure spring water from Mount Warning and natural sugar cane syrup.

Described by its maker as the “Mac daddy of all liqueurs”, the liquid boasts flavours of butterscotch, cacao and coffee. It can be served over ice with a squeeze of lime or stirred down with whisky and bitters over ice as an Old Fashioned.

Eddie Brook, co-founder of Cape Byron Distillery, said: “We are absolutely stoked to release our latest creation, celebrating the native Australian macadamia nut that the Northern Rivers, NSW region is so renowned for.

“We have combined and balanced roasted macadamia with the wonderful native wattleseed into a modern and decadent liqueur. Rich, golden and 100% natural, Mac has a long-lasting and moreish finish.”

Mac by Brookie’s is exclusively distributed through the UK by SEA Spirits and is available to buy from Master of Malt and The Good Spirits Co.
