Call for ideas for German beer event

Bars and pubs are being offered the chance to host an event featuring Schneider Weisse beers from Germany along with head brewer Hans-Peter Drexler.

UK distributor James Clay is calling on bar staff and owners to come up with ideas for an event on March 11, which could range from a tutored tasting to a beer dinner.

The most imaginative and “pioneering” idea will be chosen by Drexler and James Clay, which will support the venue by promoting the event and providing beers and glassware.

The event should be for between 30 and 70 people and held at a bar or pub that stocks Schneider Weisse beers in some form. The venue will be responsible for organising the event and, if applicable, selling tickets.

Entries must be submitted by midday on January 28 to with the subject line “Competition”.

Schneider Weisse is a German wheat beer brewed in Bavaria and dates back to 1872. The beers range from the rich and full-bodied Schneider Original and Schneider Aventinus doppelbock to Schneider Blonde Weisse and organic Schneider Grünes as well as seasonal releases.
