Camden Town Brewery has launched a new lager exclusively for London pizza joint Homeslice to pair with the outlet’s rotating seasonal menu.
The new beer, Camden Home Brew Lager, is described as a crisp, easy-drinking lager packed full of flavour.
Unlike any other Camden beer, the 330ml can doesn’t feature an ingredients list. Instead, the brewery will tweak the recipe each season to always complement the Homeslice menu, meaning each Camden Home Brew Lager may pack a different set of malt or hops.
Chris Wheeler, innovation brewer at Camden Town Brewery, said: “When our pals at Homeslice asked us to brew a lager for their pizzas, we happily consumed many an inspirational slice.
“All that delicious dough, cheese and tomato sauce inspired this fresh and crisp Pilsner-based lager. Pilsner is the perfect companion – The light breadiness of the malt bill compliments the dough, and the clean finish helps cleanse the palate.
“We’ll keep tweaking our recipe as Homeslice change their pizza toppings so each brew stays original and fun.”
The directors of Homeslice added: “We jumped at the chance to brew our own beer with our old friends Camden Town Brewery. We like to think with their help we’ve brewed the perfect pizza-beer.”
Camden Home Brew Lager is available in a 330ml can from November 19 exclusively at all five Homeslice restaurants across London and on Supper London.
