Bar combines chorizo and cava for new cocktail


chorizo cocktail copa de cavaLondon cava bar Copa de Cava has joined forces with leading cava producer Codorníu to launch a cocktail with the truly Spanish flavour of chorizo.

The Cavaizo Cocktail combines the distinct flavours of chorizo with the delicate and refreshing zing of Anna de Codorníu Brut Cava.

It is made with a caviar of chorizo al vino plus chorizo-infused gin, topped with Anna de Codorníu Brut Cava and garnished with a chorizo crisp and rosemary.

The Cavaizo, created by the bar team at Copa de Cava, is available at the bar in Blackfriars Lane in the City of London for £10.

Spanish bar and restaurant group Camino opened the UK’s first dedicated cava bar downstairs at its new restaurant Camino San Pablo in May, offering around 25 different cavas alongside a seafood and charcuterie menu.
