Cellar Trends team raise money to fight cancer

Leanne KiddWhen Leanne Kidd, a key Cellar Trends sales manager, was diagnosed with a very rare lymphoma cancer, the whole of the drinks distributor’s team swung into action with a year-long fund-raising campaign.

The appeal has already raised over £2,500. Cellar Trends’ group marketing manager Lisa Duckenfield, who is leading the appeal, said: “We are appealing to colleagues, friends, family and Leanne’s many contacts in the drinks industry. Leanne is very appreciative of these efforts. They make a real difference and give her strength to keep fighting.

“Cellar Trends is 100% supporting a series of fund-raising events as befits a family company that works together and supports all their team.”

Cellar Trends’ sales team will hold a fund-raising boot camp in Spain when they visit the home of liqueur Licor 43 for a brand-learning session. “As well as raising money for the charity, it is a way of getting employees thinking about their own health and fitness,” Lisa said.

The campaign will culminate in the Run to the Beat, a combined running and music charity event in London’s Wembley Park on September 14. Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the key charity.

Donations can be sent to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research via www.justgiving.com/lisa-duckenfield.
