Charles Dickens’s classic A Christmas Carol has inspired a pop-up party for Patrón tequila at east London’s Town Hall Hotel.

Brand ambassador Zoran Peric has worked with food and drink innovators The Robin Collective to create drinks for the “immersive” events taking place on December 9, 10 and 11.

Bar Humbug: A Patrón Christmas Carol is being created in events spaces at Bethnal Green’s Town Hall Hotel which is also home to cocktail bar Peg & Patriot.

The festive party promises “ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for a tequila-inspired journey with festive fun and dancing, and some surprises along the way”.

As the clock chimes, guests will be transported to a snapshot of Christmas parties past, where tequila is served in “retro” shots with old-school party food and 1980s party tunes.

Guests then step into Christmas Present, which is full of presents, to enjoy the latest Patrón cocktails being drunk in London, New York and Mexico. The party of Christmas Future will feature DJs and futuristic cocktail action. Some of Patrón’s newest products are promised along the way.

Tickets can be purchased via DesignMyNight.com at £25.

The Robin Collective was formed in 2010 after their first event, Café du Pique-Nique at Covent Garden’s Future Gallery. They have gone on to curate theatrical, interactive and edible installations for the likes of Courvoisier cognac, Gordon’s Gin, The Science Museum, Holiday Inn and Birds Eye.

Their innovations have included Bizzaregarita, the world’s first colour-changing cocktail, and Historical Bitters – cocktail bitters distilled from the essence of British icons such as the moisture on the walls of Sir Winston Churchill’s Cabinet War Rooms.
