COCA-COLA TURNS MATCHDAY ANTICIPATION INTO WINNING MOMENTS WITH NEW ‘GUESS THE GOALS’ COMPETITION

  • Number one soft drinks brand in the GB on-trade[1]gives customers the chance to win one of a thousand official Premier League footballs
  • Promotion to run for eight weeks with POS materials including in-venue mats and table toppers featuring QR codes available to order

Coca-Cola is giving football fans a new way to get closer to the Premier League this season with the launch of its ‘Guess the Goals’ promotion.

Building on Coca-Cola becoming the Premier League’s Official Soft Drink Partner earlier this year, the new ‘Guess the Goals’ campaign invites fans to predict how many goals will be scored across each Premier League game week via the Coca-Cola website.

With the Coca-ColaTM brand continues to connect fans with the moments that matter most – combining the nation’s love of football with its favourite cola[2].

‘Guess the Goals’ promotion

The promotion runs from 12th January until 10th March 2026. To enter, customers must scan the QR code found on in-venue POS materials including mats and table toppers, and head to the Coca-Cola app. After answering a qualifying question, they can submit their prediction for the total number of Premier League goals goals they think will be scored that game week.

Those who guess correctly will be entered into a weekly prize draw for the chance to win one of 1,000 official Premier League PUMA footballs.

Following the eight-week promotion, fans will have an extended entry window from 10th March to 10th May to enter a final prize mop up draw for the chance to win one of 20 Premier League PUMA balls.

Marketing campaign

The promotion will be supported by an integrated marketing campaign, including experiential activity, a Sky Sports partnership featuring short-form ad clips, digital and out-of-home (OOH) advertising, point-of-sale (POS) materials, and a multi-platform social media push. Together, this will help retailers engage football-loving shoppers during one of the most exciting periods of the season.

Pat Humphries, On-Premise Associate Director at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB, said: “Matchday is huge for venues, and we know that creating the right atmosphere and giving customers something to talk about makes all the difference.

“’Guess the Goals’ gives our on-trade customers a brilliant tool to boost engagement. It’s simple, it’s exciting and it gives football fans another reason to choose the pub for the big game. Whether they’re settling in early to make their prediction or celebrating a win with their mates, we’re helping operators turn every matchday into a winning occasion.

“With 8,000 prizes up for grabs and a new draw every game week throughout the season, there are plenty of opportunities to get customers involved – and we’re here to support our customers every step of the way.”

Licensed venues can request Guess the Goals promotional POS materials and download digital assets via My.CCEP.com to help bring the launch to life in-store.
